God in Culture
God in Culture: This monthly gathering is open to anyone/eveyone and is devoted to understanding the intersection between God and culture. Monthly discussions rotate between:
Examine: Listening to a lecture about art/culture/faith, etc. and discussing what that means for the church. For example, we listened to a message Donald Miller gave called “A Message to Artists” discussing why the church needs artists.
Experience: Going to a play, art exhibit, museum, etc., enjoying the creativity of the show as well as the camaraderie of the group.
Expresssion: A time for artists to bring their art, discuss the process, challenge and support each other, and create in community.
